TL;DR: nothing in the Atlantic, all the action is in the Pacific. East (Mexico/Hawai’i) nothing to worry about (dissipating fish storm). In the West, Typhoon Bavi is headed for the Northern Mariana Islands/Guam. Tropical Storm Maysak is raining on southern China and Vietnam.
As noted all the real action is in the West Pacific:

Maysak is mostly a rain thing with gusty winds. Still has the potential to cause a couple of million in impacts to China:

Of more concern is Typhoon Bavi, which is headed for the Northern Mariana Islands. It’s an impressive storm on IR this morning (East Coast time) …

The storm is on track for the eye to pass through the gap between Rota and Tinian …

If it stays on this track there will be damage to Tinian and Saipan, only a slight northward wobble could bring significant impacts. Same with Guam – although on the weaker side, a southward wobble could make things a lot worse. Tracking is fairly tight …

… but all of these islands are within the margin of error for Monday’s passage.
In the east pacific, only a tropical fish storm and 20% fishy disturbance on the map …

Atlantic is boring and should remain so for the foreseeable future (which is about a week, so ignore any doom forecasts beyond that!).

They “upgrade” sensationalist material, and “downgrade” posts that have outside links in order to keep you on their platform, so it’s not a great way to get weather warnings or news (or anything other than a bad case of the vapours, really).
