Expect watches for the Virgin Islands (both US and British) tonight or first thing in the morning, and Puerto Rico tomorrow latest.
PTC5 isn’t a tropical system yet – but it’s getting close enough to the Caribbean NHC doesn’t want anyone caught off guard, as conditions are favorable for development, and it should sweep across the leeward islands as a tropical storm.
