Aside from making the insurance bean counters happy (since it’s a named storm any damage falls under the higher “named storm” deductible), there is little practical difference. Expected impacts are minimal tropical storm conditions in near coastal areas (< 20miles from the shoreline), with the biggest threat being rain, which may extend well inland and across the southeast over the next few days.
