Radar shows some rain inland but doubtful it will reach the coast …

At least it should cool things off a bit. To give you an idea how dry things are, the soil moisture sensor 6″ below ground level is showing 190 cb. above 60 or 70 cb in this soil type is considered “critically dry,” the point at which plants can’t draw moisture out. We’re almost at 200 cb, which is as dry as if the soil had been put in an oven and baked for an hour!
