The West Pacific (Philippines, China, Japan, etc) is getting busy, two tropical storms and an invest area … all pretty weak at this point, jammed together like this they are interfering and interacting a bit. Of course, as always with any tropical system, flash flooding is always a risk in and near the path.

In the Central Pacific, a disturbance southeast of Hawai’i is tagged with a 30% chance of spinning up. It will likely stay south of the Islands.

Finally, an yellow Blob of Doom is doing a repeat of last weeks’ episode (can’t get good writers any more). Likely the same: won’t spin up, “just” rain (which means the usual isolated flash flooding risk in the usual places that flood). Here’s the view as the sun rises …

In short, the Zelenskiy government is taking control of the anti-corruption agencies set up by the US and EU since, as the Western attitude towards the Government sours, these agencies started investigating Zelenskiy’s friends instead of only his enemies like they were supposed to be doing. For the US/UK/EU media and politicians to suddenly be concerned with anti-corruption agencies in Ukraine is very reminiscent of this classic …

Unfortunately the military, political, social, and economic situation in Ukraine continues to deteriorate. It is a true tragedy, 30 (or more accurately 80) years in the making, and one that could and should have been avoided, but sadly we can’t talk about that openly west of the Dneiper.

Greed and corruption is anywhere you want to shine your light; meanwhile the innocent suffer and perish in Ukraine and Gaza.
I don’t understand. Should the agencies not be investigating all corruption?
Of course they should – but it would be nice if it was done consistently and not weaponized to keep a corrupt government in power.
