Smoke on the Water (and everywhere else)

There are a lot of fires in Canada …

… and the smoke is being blown across the US …

Here is the view from GOES East this afternoon.

That’s why today started out pretty in the Southeast after the front passed overnight, but turned murky as the smoke blew in. There is also dust from Africa across the Caribbean to add to the murk.

  1. The lame stream media are scaremongering about a possible hurricane off the coast of Georgia and South Carolina? Can you inject some sanity into this please?
