TL;DR: Something may spin up in the Atlantic this weekend or early next week, but no longer seems an election issue so you guys can go back to name calling and trying to figure out who is the most fascist. Typhoon Kong-Rey has rapidly spun up in the West Pacific and is headed towards Taiwan.
Here is the blob of doom in the Atlantic, forecast to spawn a tropical depression later this week:

The Election Day GFS forecast looks like this right now, with the weak tropical depression or storm located in the southern Bahamas:

There will be a cold front draped across the middle of the country, but weather looks to be nice elsewhere for those who haven’t early voted (still, go ahead if you can, no matter who wins it is important the election be viewed as credible so don’t give either side any excuses because the loser isn’t going to take it lightly).

Kong-Rey is probably a borderline Saffir Simpson Category 3 storm, and should be a major Typhoon when it hits Taiwan this Thursday.

Cumulative economic impacts between Taiwan, Mainland China, and Japan later could top $10 Billion USD.

Thanks so much!!!
