The track and intensity forecast for Typhoon Gamei has shifted significantly and now lies directly over norther Taiwan, with the eye wall forecast to pass over Taipei in about 36 hours. The JTWC forecast may be a bit “hot” – too intense – but this is shaping up to be a significant disaster in an economically and politically sensitive area.
