While the storm has intensified over the South China Sea, it is likely that rain will be the biggest threat. 15″ of rain are possible over the already flooded central regions. The Philippines is in for another storm as well, Tropical Depression 32 is on track to strengthen into a typhoon and hit Luzon in a few days, with up to 18″ of rain possible there as well … you’ll definitely want to click to embiggen this map to see the country outlines under the five day rain forecast.

I’m trying to decide if I want to write a brief note about the passing of Dick Cheney. I saw him in action in both the Gulf War and post-9/11, and obviously have some opinions (pretty strong ones actually), but I’m not sure if it’s worth the hassle in our highly tribal world, and so many words are being said already.

  1. I, for one, would be thrilled to hear your thoughts on Dick Cheney. Out of curiosity more than anything else. Interesting fellow.

  2. Thanks for all your great info regarding hurricanes, weather in general, etc.
Like you say enough has been written about Dick Cheney, and why stir the pot even more.
Enjoy your life, your family, and please, continue with your fabulous work.

  3. I would really appreciate your take on Mr. Cheney. So many words are being said, but so few come from a place of experience and expertise. So I for one vote yea. And I recommend the hammer of banning and the crossbow of deletion to be used as necessary (which is a hassle, I readily acknowledge, the worst waster of time).

But I know I’m not alone in that I come here to learn things (not just Frogmore things, though those are the best things). And I always do. So thank you for that, always.
