As the heavy rain inland makes its way to the sea, it is causing some localized flooding along our rivers. NWS is posting watches and warnings, expect flooding in the usual places that flood after heavy rains along the Savannah and Ogeechee rivers in particular. These should be nowhere near Debby levels – here are the forecast hydrographs for the Savannah River at Clyo, which is at “minor” flood stage …
and the Ogeechee near Eden, which is still low but is also forecast to hit moderate flood stage …

So while it will flirt with major flood stage, which isn’t great, it won’t be as widespread or in to unusual areas like Debby was (also note the record was the 1929 flood, which was an incredible 22 feet.
