As we all know, the Frogmore Metroplex is the most diverse and picturesque landscape on Earth. In addition, there are less picturesque environs that long to be a part of this noble realm. Thus, it is difficult to properly capture in a single map, especially for phenomena like rain that vary quite a lot across the region. I’ve had a few requests to do zoomed in maps on various areas, and a bit wider regional overview. The current automated maps are generated every 10 minutes and look like this:

Depending on storage and bandwidth, I’m looking at expanding the “Metroplex” level maps to look like this (which show the rain totals yesterday):

But adding four more details maps, at least for rain totals and maybe for other info like radar or lightning strikes:

Thoughts and feedback welcome, although keep in mind that any votes or opinions are subject to the Captain Kirk Rule:

Donations keep this thing going, as well as allow the expansion of the maps and data feeds. You can subscribe to the emails (links to special mapping pages are sent out periodically), and/or donate to keep the blog going at the the same link.

Perfect! I love the new designated “regions”!
I think that I’d an excellent plan!
Where does Effingham fit in on the new map
oops. That’s a great point, it sort of got caught in between the interior wastelands, Savannah, and Frogmore proper. Will adjust – we don’t want Effingham in the Wastelands with the ‘boro, will think about it ….
Wastelands….LOL – Those of us from the Borderlands thank you. Hope you have a great new year!
