This is a great graphic from the NWS office that covers Mos Eisely Spaceport Hartsfield/Jackson and the Atlanta area (actually located in Peachtree City because, seriously, nobody wants to live in Atlanta) …

At the moment, the ECMF AIFS favors scenario 1, the GFS deterministic run seems to be favoring scenario 2. I’m not convinced we have enough data to judge it yet, as I constantly whine, forecasting snow on the GA/SC coast is almost impossible over 3 days out and given the timing it now looks like we won’t be fully in that window until tomorrow.
If you’re curious what the local NWS office has to say, here’s a slide from their latest briefing that has the odds:

But they also add … Confidence remains low regarding the winter precipitation potential including such details as exact timing and the extent/magnitude of any precipitation.
So check back Sunday and we will have pictures, or not 😛 … meanwhile, will take another look at this tomorrow.

Love you logic and I don’t think you whine
Love the mild snark, but here’s a fun fact. The Atlanta airport actually is within the Atlanta city limits. That said, the boundary lines around the airport don’t actually touch any other part of the city. Apart from the joy of living in Atlanta, there’s the fascinating politics.
Same with Savannah and a lot of municipal airports – they don’t want them too close to town, so they run the city limits down roads, railway lines, whatever so the city owns the airport property.
