The global models show something spinning up and threatening the Georgia/North Florida area by Thursday …

GFS shows a weak tropical storm making landfall Thursday; but it doesn’t exist as of today.

So, the Flood of FUD (Fear, Uncertainty, and Doubt) will likely start today for the US Southeast. As a reminder, here is some advice on how to monitor these kinds of systems and avoid the hype (click).

Note that this is a new system, not directly related to the one that just passed over Florida and is now out in the northwest Atlantic. It is sort of related to the complex jumble of stuff hovering over South Florida and The Bahama.
